The concept of the DGNB Building Ensemble Certification was designed for buildings that are largely identically constructed at the same location (such as residential complexes, office buildings, etc.). It can be based on any existing scheme and allows a DGNB Pre-certificate or Certificate for each building individually on a common verification basis, with reduced documentation effort. If the buildings are pre-certified, the audit, examination and evaluation is carried out for the entire ensemble.
For certification, a typical building (basic module) must be fully documented. For the remaining buildings, which are largely identical in construction, the plans are to be provided additionally. Based on the criteria catalogue, a statement must be made for each criterion as to whether there are any deviations from the basic module. These are to be verified in detail, as well as the quality checks after completion. For instance, the interior hygiene measurement would need to be carried out in each building. Independently of this, cross-criteria documents such as area composition, plans, completion date/degree, EnEV calculation, etc. must be submitted for each building. Evidence can be omitted via the reference to the basic module if they are identical. In addition, a list of criteria must be drawn up for each building, in which valuation-relevant synergy effects come into play (e.g. canteen is shared by the users of other buildings).
The DGNB Building Ensemble Certification supports quality assurance for buildings that are largely identical in construction. It enables building owners and auditors to simplify, speed up and thus reduce the cost of verification for individual buildings.
Please submit your plans for the ensemble to be certified via a PCQ (project-specific request for certification) located in the password-protected internal area of the DGNB website. We will then get in touch with you.
The requirements will be clarified with the DGNB certification body via a PCQ (project-specific request for certifiability) located in the password-protected internal area of the DGNB website.
If the project requires a more comprehensive preliminary discussion than is possible within the framework of the PCQ, this can be done in cooperation with the DGNB certification body. First of all, the project and the applicant's goals are presented and the relevancy of the building ensemble certification is reviewed.
The project is registered by the DGNB auditor, i.e. all the buildings concerned are registered simultaneously as an "ensemble". Each building is assigned its own project number. If more are to be registered later, this needs to be clarified with the certification body in advance.
After the official project registration, the applicant enters a contract with the DGNB for the Pre-certification of all buildings or one contract per building of the ensemble to be certified.
Submission of basic module and possibly other buildings documentation by the auditor.
