There are very specific requirements for healthcare real estate. With this scheme, you can plan and build healthcare buildings sustainably. It specifically evaluates the quality of the floor plan, the layout of the areas and the design with regard to socio-cultural aspects. In addition, the process criteria are adapted to hospital-specific processes. Operators can reduce their operating costs and at the same time optimise comfort for patients and staff. This is achieved through an improved building facade, optimized floor space and the combination of innovative technology.

The DGNB System Version 2020 International is not yet available for this scheme. However, DGNB Auditors with German language skills can combine and adapt the full range of current German schemes with DGNB System Version 2020 International in order to certify other building types.
